The extravagant Wonderful Worlds of Whampoa is just that – wonderful. This large complex comprises 1.4 million sq. ft. of shopping, dining, entertainment and leisure spaces. And, of course, there is a large ship right outside the building that simply begs a visit.

This fascinating place gets its name from the various theme-based ‘worlds – namely, Gourmet Place, Fashion World, Treasure World, Home World, Amazing World and Pebbles World.

The Whampoa ship

The Whampoa Ship is a masterpiece in concrete and disguises a mall within including a car park in the basement. There is a large Aeon department store at the ground floor and the Sportful Garden Restaurant on the 2nd floor. The roof is freely accessible and serves as a viewing deck that looks out to the sea at the bow.

Like all places in Hong Kong, the night views on and from the ship make it a memorable evening.

Handy tip:

  • Everyone loves to visit the ship and so it can get pretty crowded over the weekends and most evenings. If you want to avoid the rush, we suggest that you visit in the morning.
