The Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam was created from six 17th and 18th century palace mansions. The character and beauty of the original buildings has been retained with original marbling flooring, grand Rococo embellishments, and strict attention to detail. Rooms and suites are individually designed with a cool, relaxing atmosphere, and they all work off a blue and yellow color scheme that varies from rich peacock and ochre to pale mauve and cool lemon. Bathrooms feature deep soaking claw-foot tubs, high-end toiletries, and sleek original marble and exposed beams.
The Waldorf is home to the two-Michelin star LIbrije’s Zusj for contemporary and upscale dining. Executive Chef Sidney Schutte is also in charge of the Goldfinch Brasserie, guaranteeing an equally amazing multi-course meal there. Peacock Alley is a lush dining area for lunch and tea and the Vault Bar is known for its innovative cocktails.
The Guerlain Spa offers a wide variety of facials, skin treaments, and massage with private rooms. The almost-grotto-like indoor pool has a view of the lush private courtyard gardens–the largest in the area. Enjoy a personal concierge, valet parking, and a private boat launch right outside the door.
