A beautiful winery in tranquil surrounds
Situated on a four-hectare farm growing grapes and olives and surrounded by farmland, it’d be hard to get further away from it all than this peaceful little winery in the heart of the Chianti region. The farm is situated 55km outside of Florence, making it a good choice for day trips if you’re in a wine-buying and relaxing mood, or the perfect place to stay for a week and soak up the Tuscan sun without a care in the world.
Get close to the rich history of traditional farming
The farm itself dates back as far as the 18th century and has been in the hands of the current owners since 1899. What started out as a small concern soon flourished thanks to the kiln situated on the property, which was an important production centre for the region’s pottery supply. The farm soon flourished and expanded, sticking to traditional methods of growing and wine production to this day.
If you need a little time off from the real world and some excellent wine to go with it, Villa Pomona is the perfect place to head out to.
