A community hub
Formerly known as Mushrif Central Park, the Park underwent a radical transformation in 2013 and was christened as Umm Al Emarat Park. The Park is Abu Dhabi’s oldest and largest (14 hectares!) and has been in existence since 1983. The Park now serves as a community hub and this is probably why it has several unique and inventive attractions. The Park draws people of all ages and is extremely popular with visitors and locals.
The Park has several play-areas for children, expansive lush lawns and walkways, but what sets this place apart are the other attractions. The Botanic Garden and Shade House is a haven of tranquility with several indigenous plants and trees set amidst a calming pool. The interactive Animal Barn allows children to feed and pet ponies, camels and cows.
The Park is a great place to relax after a busy, touristy day and you’ll know it when you see the sheer delight on children’s faces.
