Runyon Canyon

Runyon Canyon Park is a 160-acre park in north-west Los Angeles that’s packed with hiking trails of all different abilities. Thanks to the hilly park’s rapid elevation it fast became the cities favourite outdoor workout spot and many celebrities and locals alike train here regularly. The park's elevation also provides breathtakingly cool views for those of you would rather take pictures than burn calories.

Most of the trails here run along wide dirt roads and so coming in bad weather isn’t advised but most of the year the sun shines, and the paths remain dry. From Mulholland drive hike up to Indian Rock, the park’s highest point which boasts 360 views of the neighbouring valley. The Star Trail is advised for average level hikes while the Hero Trail is the ultimate work out.

There are five entrances to Runyan Canyon in total, but the primary access is along Mulholland Drive to the north of the park. Here you’ll find a designated Park parking area whereas parking at the other four gates is street parking only. The gates are open seven days a week from dawn till dusk and are busiest around midday.
