Osteria Cassia Vetus

Overlooking Arno Valley and located between Arezzo and Florence, Osteria Cassia Vetus is a rustic Tuscan restaurant that features a wood-paneled interior, a nice terrace, and a seasonal menu that showcases local ingredients and authentic Italian food made with love.

The Menu

Try the trofie pasta with almond pesto or chicken with saffron, lemon, and ground almonds. For dessert, homemade ice-cream made from organic ingredients is recommended by the friendly owner who is a great guy and looks like a figure from an 80’s club.  Pappardelle with Chianina beef sauce, Pork fillet with Chianti and aromatic herbs, and Duck porchetta are all fantastic dishes and definitely worth ordering.

Outdoor Terrace with Live Music

There is a nice outdoor terrace with a garden where guests can dine during summer months. Live music performances are held occasionally. This authentic Italian restaurant also features a small wine shop with a nice selection of Chianti wines.  Of course, guests are encouraged to try the local wine before purchasing the bottles.
