National Gallery of Jamaica

National Gallery of Jamaica is found in the busiest parish and Capital of the country. It exhibits art forms of many talented Jamaican and Caribbean Artists and it is opened for the public to see. It is the largest and oldest art museum in the English Speaking Caribbean.

It comprises of ancient, modern and present art forms which are very interesting. The art exhibited are from the days of the Tainos which has a significant part in Jamaica’s history. Arts displayed are done by multiple people ranging from rising talent artists to master artists. The NGJ offers an opportunity for Caribbean people to take up the mantle and express themselves through art.

They have a special program for children on last Sundays which include tours, panel discussion and Art Exhibitions. If your little one has an arm for art, you could make his day by bringing him to the National Gallery of Jamaica. It is free.
