Naschmarkt is Vienna’s biggest inner-city market and runs from Monday to Saturday each week. Here you’ll find stall after stall of fresh fruits, vegetables and homemade bread and pastries representing cultures from around the world.

What to Expect

The market, which originally opened in the 16th century, is located at the Wienzeile just over the Wien River. Around 120 stalls serving an array of exotic world foods spread

over 1.5km. Here you’ll find both locals doing their weekly shop and tourists following the crowds for a taste of Vienna. Wander amidst the stalls sampling cheeses as you go.

Aside from the fresh produce stalls, there are also lots of restaurants tucked inside the market that are the perfect place to dine on a hot dish. Head to Trattoria Pulcinella for a slice of pizza or pay a visit to the Orient & Occident restaurant for a taste of Turkish cuisine.
