For all Rugby fans, a trip to Murrayfield Stadium should be on your Edinburgh itinerary. The inaugural match was first played in 1925, and ever since the stadium has continued to evolve into one of the greatest sporting arenas of the world.
Guided Tours are available which take you through each decade of Scottish Rugby right back to the Scotland team’s very first international match back in 1871!
The tour highlights include, viewing the BBC studio used to televise the Six Nations and Rugby International games. The press suite, where famous commentators sit, the Royal box and the changing rooms where you can re-live match day rituals and preparations.
The pièce de résistance for any rugby fan is the walk through the team tunnel and onto the pitch itself, imagine you are one of the world greats and heading for that winning try.
Tours are available Monday to Saturday at 11.00 am and last 1 hour and 30 minutes. They are subject to availability and are not available during Six Nations and Internationals.
