Situated in an old converted whisky bonded warehouse, The Kitchin has been a mainstay in the Leith area of Edinburgh since 2006. Just a year after its opening, the restaurant won an award for “Best UK Restaurant” and they were awarded their first Michelin star. Since then it has claimed accolades such as “Best Restaurant in Scotland” and most recently in 2015 “Best Restaurant Experience”. Chef Tom Kitchin uses fresh Scottish seasonal produce and the restaurant’s nature to plate mantra reflects this. An intimate atmosphere decorated in cool greys and silvers with purple and aqua accents and granite slate features throughout, it is the perfect place for a romantic rendezvous and for groups of friends to enjoy the Michelin star experience. Martin Wishart – 54, The Shore, Leith, Edinburgh, EH6 6RA

Awarded its first Michelin star in 2001, the restaurant has retained the accolade ever since. Martin trained under renowned chefs Albert and Michel Roux Jr, Marco Pierre White and Nick Nairn, all of whom influenced his unique cooking style. The restaurant itself, situated in the historical port of Leith brings a blend of modern French and traditional cuisine to the city, using the finest Scottish ingredients. Menus are inventive and varied from roasted quail to salt baked golden beetroot. There are tasting menus including vegetarian, fish tasting menus, and à la carte menus. If you wish to try the cuisine before you commit to a full à la carte experience the restaurant offers lunch from £28.50 from Tuesday – Friday.


21212 – 3 Royal Terrace , Edinburgh EH7 5AB

Paul Kitching opened 21212 in May 2009 and the restaurant received its first Michelin star in 2010. It’s the only restaurant in Edinburgh with rooms for you to stay in. A foodie’s delight, he incorporates a varied fusion of flavours and textures showcased in the cuisine. Weekday lunches are served Tuesday to Friday with a set menu for 2 courses starting from £22. Enjoy culinary delights such as barley and cardamom risotto, seabass ratatouille, and the pink panther glazed Victoria sponge brulee. The menus are eclectic and fun, the dining chic and elegant.
