Mar Bella Beach

As one of only two nudist beaches in the city Mar Bella Beach is quite the hot spot when it comes to sunbathing. Here you'll find a young crowd of hip students and sportsmen, all desperate for that all-over golden tan. The 500 metres of soft sand beach is a popular place to be in summer and, thanks to the large sand dune located on the south side, it’s relatively private. Located just a 30-minute walk north of Parc de la Ciutadella (or a five-minute bike ride) the beach is within proximity to the heart of Barcelona.

Cosmopolitan crowds gather here to sunbathe the day away but when they tire of sunbathing the beachgoers tend to enjoy an array of activities including beach volleyball, table tennis and swimming in the refreshing Mediterranean Ocean. If water sports are more your thing then check out the nearby PADI scuba diving school or join one of the sea excursions that depart from here including catamaran cruises and sailing trips

Facilities here include beach umbrellas, sun loungers and bike parking. You’ll also find public toilets with showers and a handful of ice cream carts and cold drink kiosks along the sands. If you’re after a more substantial refreshment, the beach is lined with plenty of restaurants serving delicious tapas and paella dishes all day long.
