Manly Beach

The beachside suburb of Manly is home to one of the cities most talked about beaches (right after Bondi), Manly Beach. Home to turquoise waters, crystal honey-coloured sand and swaying palm trees the area is a beachcombers paradise and a watersport lovers haven. Make sure you set aside an entire day to visit here!

What to Do

Once you’ve finished soaking up the sunshine and thrashing around in the Pacific waves you’ve got an array of land-based activities and attractions to enjoy. Adjacent to the beach you’ll find Manly’s main high street home to quirky beachwear boutiques, craft beer bars and restaurants with open-air dining. Those enjoying a family holiday should head to the SEA-LIFE sanctuary or Waterworks – an entertaining water park home to giant slides!

How to Get Here

The suburb of Manly sits just a 30-minute drive north of the city however the most popular and practical way of visiting is by ferry. Ferries depart daily from Circular Quay and drop you directly at Manly harbour in just over 30 minutes. Not only is the ferry incredibly fun, but it’s also an excellent way to get an alternative view of both the Sydney Harbour and the Sydney Opera House so pack your camera!
