Seasonal and Fresh Cuisine
Cowley Manor was developed by the malted milk magnate Sir James Horlick and hence the name of the restaurant – Malt. It serves ambitious dishes with an emphasis on sustainability and celebrates England’s extensive culinary inspirations. Malt’s menu is seasonal and is based on local ingredients as well as the harvest from their gardens.
Malt has specific menus for different times of the day. Breakfasts feature fruits, pastries, cereal, cheeses, meats and yogurt pots while lunch includes pizzas and sandwiches. Their Sunday roasts feature traditional treats like Yorkshire puddings and homemade sauces. Afternoon Tea is very much alive here – boasting a range of delightful treats.
Bar, Trees and More
There is a bar adjoining the restaurant where you can order sandwiches or pizzas to accompany your drink. They have a wide-ranging list of spirits, wines and signature cocktails.
The estate in Cowley Manor is planted with thousands of trees set off against follies, fountains, statues and cascades. It is an ideal place to have an afternoon tea with friends and family surrounded by such wonderful views.
