Maillard Tavern

Maillard Tavern is Chicago’s new up-and-coming burger joint located in the River West neighbourhood of North Chicago. This casual and chic spot is run by Tony Priolo and Ciro Longobardo, the brain children of Chicago’s famous Italian restaurant ‘Piccolo Sogno’.

What to Order

All Maillard Taverns burgers are made using local beef and served on a potato bun with duck fat potatoes. Enjoy toppings of crispy onions, bacon jam, American cheese, Dijon mayo and pork rillettes. Speciality sandwiches include Sloppy Giuseppe, a spiced wild boar ragu and Buttermilk chicken with honey and mayo.

What to Expect

This quaint restaurant has taken on a dark wood colour scheme and boasts only three booths and a handful of tables. There are also seats at the bar if you’re just here to sample the speciality cocktails, enjoy a cold beer or to order a freshly made milkshake.
