Legacy of Marie Tussaud
The museum was founded by Marie Tussaud, a wax sculptor par excellence from France. She moved to London after the Revolution where she continued to create wax figurines which were exhibited at Baker Street from 1835. Her grandsons moved the museum to its current location in 1884.
The museum continues to be a huge tourist attraction as it adds contemporary stars while using technology to create immersive experiences for people of all ages. For all sci-fi fans, the Star Wars gallery is a must-visit. You can also get up close and personal with your favorites at the 4D Marvel Superheroes movie.
From Mandela to Einstein, Beatles to One Direction, Hollywood to Bollywood, Beckham to Bolt, Madame Tussauds has given a place of honor to all the greats. All you have to do is walk in and say hello. Better still, click a pic!
