London Transport Museum

The London Transport Museum has something for everyone--including the kids!

Explore the fascinating history of transport

From horses to the modern combustion engine, the London Transport Museum offers the chance to explore the history of getting from A to B. It may not sound like the most interesting topic, but the museum’s scope covers a wide range of subjects–history, engineering, technology, and design are just the beginning. If the trains don’t interest you, perhaps the collection of famous British Railways posters will. There’s truly something for everyone here.

Perfect for visiting with children

Not only are children (under 17) offered free entry to the museum, but it’s the perfect place to take them, with all kinds of exhibits and models for them to climb into and explore. There are also regular events intended specifically to entertain the little ones, so it’s a good place to take an hour off from parenting and have a little time to yourself, too. Check the calendar on the website to see what’s on during your visit. Tickets are valid for unlimited entry for 12 months, so you can visit multiple times if there are multiple events you’d like to go to.
