Devoted to Seafood
A brainchild of chef Gaston Acuria who already runs a couple of fine restaurants, has added this latest feather in his hat. La Mar has won devoted fans and now it features in other places around the world too.
The bold and inventive menu succeeds in injecting a bit of seafood in nearly every dish. It does result in some rather exciting culinary surprises. Here are a few of the favourites: Try the Steak de atun (Tuna steak), Especial Mero (Special Grouper) and Langosta y Merluza (lobster and hake).
What sets La Mar apart from other restaurants is the ceviche bar. This novel concept at the restaurant boasts seven kinds of ceviches featuring inventive combinations of fresh seafood and ingredients with a cosmopolitan touch.
The decidedly Peruvian menu offers visitors a refreshing change and comes highly recommended.
