North Parade Avenue is a pleasant little street in Oxford that offers interesting options for shopping and food. Every other Saturday, the street is shut off to automobile traffic to pave the way for a bustling market that boasts of the best of Oxford produce.

The North Parade Avenue is dotted with interesting nuggets for visitors. Enjoy the inimitable atmosphere of a traditional English pub at Rose and Crowns (No. 14) or the Gardener’s Arms (No. 8). The showstopper on this avenue, however, is the fortnightly market on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of every month. Starting at 10:00 am, the street is transformed into a smorgasbord of delightful colors and tempting aromas. You can expect to find organic garden produce and artisan foods including sourdough breads, cheese, street food, delicious cakes and pies.
