Chicago Diner

Calling all vegetarians, we’ve found the American diner for you! We bet that’s a sentence you never thought you’d hear but, thanks to the happy chappy’s over at The Chicago Diner, we present to you Chicago’s finest vegetarian diner. Opened in 1983 by double team Hornick and Kaucher the menu features 100% vegetarian dishes including a couple of vegan dishes too.

What to Order

The diner serves delicious dishes for brunch, lunch and dinner and includes an array of meat alternatives and hearty vegetables. For brunch order your eggs any way you like them topped with onions, mushrooms, tomatoes and spinach. For lunch ordered the sweet potatoes croquettes with the flagship sandwich; The Radical Reuben. If you’re here for dinner, give the tofu tikka masala a try and don’t forget to order one of the award-winning vegan milkshakes.

When to Visit

This restaurant is super popular with locals and tourists alike and is extremely busy between the hours of 12:00 – 14:00 and 19:00 and 21:00. Due to limited seating, the restaurant doesn’t take reservations, to secure a seat try arriving out of peak hours and you won’t be disappointed.
