A Local Brewery
Amsterdam is home to many breweries, but Brouwerij Troost is one of the most popular. Housed inside an old monastery, its cozy location in De Pijp fills quickly with a friendly crowd. And its larger location in Westergas offers brewery tours, as well as live jazz music on Wednesdays.
Beer, Beer, and More Beer
Both locations serve twelve different home-brewed beers on draft. Try everything from a citrus-and-coriander-infused Tripel to a malty Black I.P.A. Or perhaps the award-winning Honingblond is more to your taste. Beer flights are available for those who want to sample them all. And if you simply can’t get enough, the brewpubs also sell bottled beer for enamored patrons to take home.
Hungry guests will find more than just pub grub on the menu. There are snacks like traditional Dutch bitterballen and crispy spring rolls, or heartier fare like burgers and ribs. Brouwerij Troost offers the chance to drink beer like a true Amsterdammer.
