Walt Disney Concert Hall

The Walt Disney Concert Hall is located in downtown Los Angeles and boasts distinctive architecture. Designed by Frank Gehry in 2003 the funky silver building is made from curved stainless steel that was constructed to resemble silver sails of a sailboat.

Inside

The building’s interior is flooded with light, and the quirky design continues through the lobby right round to the theatre space where you’re met with 2265 steep seats. You won’t find any VIP boxes here as the designer wanted the audience to be as one and for everyone to have the best seats in the house, as such the proximity to the orchestra is impressively close.

Guided Tours

Before listening to the orchestra, visitors can enjoy a guided tour of the building to learn about its history. Both self-guided audio tours and guided tours of the hall run most days, and each is roughly an hour long and begin in the lobby. Simply purchase your event ticket online, pre-book a tour slot and show your ticket upon arrival.
