The Art Collection and History
Majority of the art collection at Uffizi Gallery comes from the Renaissance period. The state of Tuscany received the main part of the collection from the Medici, so that the gallery could attract more foreigners. The gallery has over 60 halls full of impressive works that date back to the period between 12th and the 17th century.
