The Two Oceans Aquarium at the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, Cape Town offers a fascinating opportunity for all age groups to explore the dazzling and vibrant aquatic world of Atlantic and Indian oceans.

Seven Exhibition Galleries

Inaugurated on 13th November 1995, it features seven galleries with massive viewing windows, where visitors experience a mini-version of South Africa’s fantastic marine kingdom. The 10-metre long tunnel at the I&J Ocean Exhibit, is the first of its kind in the nation and affords a splendid view of the ocean dwellers.

3,000 Marine Creatures

Visitors get to see an overwhelming 3,000 marine creatures spanning across 88 species, which includes turtles, sea horses, spider crabs, jellyfish, eels, stingrays, frogs, penguins, sharks, colorful clownfish, extremely rare hagfish, many species of fishes and lots more..

The aquarium also features a unique Jelly Gallery and the rare Ocean Basket Kelp Forest display, where umpteen species of fishes can be seen swimming around.

Visitors can also enjoy a thrilling opportunity to handle or to interact with starfish, hermit crabs, sharks, rockhopper penguins at the Touch Pool and more.
