Orlando Shakespeare Theater

Not every production is that of Shakespeare’s, but every one is pure quality entertainment.

The Play’s the Thing

When the acting companies aren’t producing one of Shakespeare’s staples, they draw inspiration from the bard. Sometimes the plots are modernized versions of the Shakespearean classics. Other shows are applause-worthy contemporary dramas. Some shows are family-friendly; be sure to see the ratings for individual productions prior to purchasing your tickets.

Respectable Reputation

For decades, theater lovers in the Orlando community have worked hard to ensure their neighbors and visitors are provided with the opportunity to experience stage productions of superior quality. Operating under the current name since 2006, the theater shares a partnership with the University of Central Florida. Together, they work to bring comedies and tragedies to all audiences throughout each season. The stage brings quality entertainment, and the university enriches its educational abilities.

Be in the Audience

Ticket prices range from $9 to $50 depending on the show, date, and time. Contact the box office online or by phone. Plenty of parking is available at the theater and within walking distance, but plan to arrive 30 minutes before the start of a show. For a snack or beverage, visit Harriett’s Bar which is in the same location and operates for an hour before the show and during intermission.

Top Tip: Beat the rush to Harriett’s Bar during intermission by pre-ordering before the start of your show.
