There is always a hefty crowd in front of L’As du Fallafel (every day, every hour of the day). But do not be afraid of the long lines (to go or inside), the forever young team of the restaurant is fast.
The reason for such a long-lasting success? Obviously the handsomely layered sandwich, with fresh ingredients like lettuce, red cabbage, onions and roasted eggplants, combined with pickled cucumbers and tahini sauce. Major plus, this delicious snack is less than 6€. A great option for lunch if you are in the Marais neighborhood (usually pricier). Also, servings never disappoint!
Not Just Sandwiches
If you are in the mood for something even more hearty, the extensive Mediterranean and Israelian menu can be appreciated in one of the 20, or so, tables inside. And if you decide for a falafel plate to go (head to Jardin des Rosiers – Joseph Migneret, 60m down the same street) you’ll definitely have enough for 2 hungry travelers.
L’As du Fallafel offers kosher products certified by Paris Beth Din.
