Bird Park

Explore the World’s Largest Walk in Aviary at Kuala Lumpur's Bird Park

Tucked away in the scenic Lake Gardens this wonderful bird sanctuary is just 10 minutes’ drive from central Kuala Lumpur. It is the home to over 3,000 exotic birds and over 200 species from around the world.

What is special about this place?

The best feature of the KL Bird Park is that is divided into 4 zones and it’s easy to navigate your way around. Zones 1, 2 and 3 allow the birds to fly free throughout the walk-in aviary – it is supposed to represent their natural habitat and increase their chances of natural breeding.

Is there enough to occupy children?

Both adults and children will enjoy this park. Each species of bird is unique, you can learn about different exotic species and view them up close in an area which resembles their natural habitat. There are also many areas in which to take a break, purchase souvenirs and gifts in the Peacock and Hornbill shops, and if you feel hungry take a walk to the sandwich bar or the Hornbill restaurant.
