Fixed price menus
Italian for “reduced,” Il Ridotto’s greatest claim to culinary fame is its good value tasting menus. At dinner, guests have a choice between two five-course menus at 85 euro apiece: one of all fish dishes, the other alternating fish with meat plates. Chef Gianni Bonaccorsi’s entrees range from 30 to 40 euro and might include black rice couscous with pan fried vegetables and a fish of the day or guinea hen ravioli with pumpkin, mushrooms, and black truffle.
The menu’s crowning glory is its dessert section, with particularly creative ice cream flavors. Ginger ice cream gets a tropical touch from marinated mango and cocoa puffed rice, while black rice ice cream is accompanied by tamarindo water ice and chocolate tenerina cake.
Located near the Piazza San Marco, Il Ridotto’s dining room is as modern as its cuisine, with exposed brick walls and a special local touch in its Murano water glasses. This bright pop of color adds to a light and airy atmosphere.
