Hollywood Bowl

Hollywood Bowl, home to the Los Angele’s Philharmonic Orchestra, is the cities most famous amphitheatre and with the Hollywood Hills as it’s backdrop, there’s no doubt as to why. The outdoor amphitheatre, located just off North Highland Avenue, is also the largest of its kind in the United States and has the capacity to hold over 17,000 people.

What to expect

The theatre houses gigs, shows and events year round including everything from pop and rock to jazz and musicals. Inside the grounds, there’s a public park with picnic area, a handful of restaurants and a couple of vibrant bars to grab a pre-show drink. If you’re running a little late, make sure you order a picnic in advance and have it delivered to your seat.

Getting here

The Hollywood Bowl is easily accessible by car as it boasts it’s own parking lot. It should be noted however that this car park fills up fast, the fees are high and the queues to get out at the end of the night can be long. Alternately, leaving your car at a local park and ride or taking the Bowl Shuttle Bus into the grounds is a far better option that saves both time and money.
