The estate is owned by Lord and Lady Cavendish who open their doors daily to welcome the public in on guided tours. A morning can be spent exploring the house and grounds, learning about the building’s history as you walk from Billiards room to Drawing rooms. When walking the gardens, keep your eyes peeled for the wild deer’s that roam the grounds.
Admission charges for adults are £12.50 while children up to 15 years enter for free. If you only want to see either the hall or the gardens separate tickets can be bought at a reduced price. The estate is also home to a café serving hot and cold meals, afternoon tea and an array of refreshments to keep the whole family fueled. There’s also a designated picnic area if you’d rather bring your own lunch.
