Dog and Gun

The Dog and Gun is a traditional British pub located in the heart of Keswick. Roaring fireplaces, local cask ales and traditional bar stools all add to the cosy ambience alongside the array of classic British dishes that are served here daily. The Dog and Gun, however, is most famous for its homemade Hungarian goulash which comes in a small or large bowl and is packed with flavour – the perfect way to round off any walk in the Lake District.

What to Order

Lunch at the Dog and Gun is made up of an array of homemade sandwiches including classic cheese and pickle and the more obscure picks like rump steak melts. Come evening, homemade Pies, bangers and mash and lasagna grace the menu and Kentish apple and blackberry crumble is a must-try for dessert.
