Cousins Restaurant

Owned by--you guessed it--two French cousins, this Hanoi eatery is especially popular among expats.

Lakeside Dining

Cousins Restaurant is a casual dining spot along the shores of Hanoi’s large West Lake. But despite the ease with which the restaurant carries itself, its food packs a culinary punch. Owned by two French cousins, this eatery serves reasonably priced fare with European flair.

Cozy Space, Magnificent Menu

The decor of the restaurant is light and airy. Inside they’ve painted the brick walls white, and the natural wood tables complement the colorful tile floor. The outdoor patio is also a big draw on sunny days–especially for Hanoi’s expats, who come for the delicious Western food.

Though the dining room may be relaxed, the menu is anything but. Dishes include everything from gruyère-stuffed ravioli to grilled lamb cutlets. And the wine list perfectly reflects Cousins’ French influence. Considering the high quality of the cuisine, the prices are surprisingly reasonable. Cousins is a great place to grab a bite after a visit to the nearby Tran Quoc Pagoda.
