Casa Bellresguard

Casa Bellresguard is a grand medieval castle that sits atop a hill in the Sarria-Sant Gervasi neighbourhood of Barcelona. Designed and built by architect Antoni Gaudi the castle is home to a modernist manor house and is open to the public for both self-guided and guided tours.

Inside

Casa Bellresguard, also known as Casa Figueres, dates back to 1900 and is packed with history. Inside climb the narrowing staircases to the upper floors to explore the houses attic, admiring the tile work as you go. Outside, the manicured gardens are home to a spacious patio and horse stables, and there’s plenty of time to explore the grounds.

Rates and Accessibility

The castle is open Tuesday to Sunday from 10 am – 3 pm and both self-guided tours and audio guided tours are available. The Panoramic Tour is €9 for adults, €7.20 for under 18s and pensioners and under 8s go free while the Complete Tour is €16 for adults, €12.80 for under 18s and pensioners and under 8s go free. To access the castle, take local bus routes including number 58,22 and 75 or ride the Barcelona City Tour Bus up to Tibidabo.
