Blackwell Arts & Craft House

Blackwell Arts & Crafts House is a historic Grade I listed property located close to the town of Bowness-on-Windermere that provides an educative morning out for all. Built in 1900 by architect MH Baillie Scott the house showcases both 20th-century design and the arts and crafts movement that flourished in Europe during this time.

Step Inside 

The original house has been entirely preserved with the addition of a neighbouring tea room serving classic cream teas and gourmet sandwiches. Spend a morning exploring the historic house wander through the rooms, through the dining hall and to the Inglenook original fireplace where you can admire impressive window views of the surrounding lakes.

Blackwell’s is located to the east of Lake Windermere just a 20-minute drive south of the quaint town of Ambleside. The house has its own car park making it easily accessible, and entry fee’s for adults is £8.80 while children enter for free.
