Bar Betta

Visitors to Hanoi can dine all day and party all night at this retro bar and cafe.

Modern Eats in Retro Digs

Though Vietnamese flavors are undeniably tasty, sometimes visitors may need a break from all the noodle soups and cooked vegetables. Bar Betta is a great place to grab Western fare and relax in a funky, retro environment. Located inside a French colonial building, its rooftop terrace is a major draw, especially during hot weather.

Nostalgic Food and Decor

Open daily at 8 am, guests can grab breakfast, lunch, and dinner at Bar Betta–not to mention drinks after that. The bar is known for its happy hour deals. Most of menu consists of Western comfort food–burgers and other sandwiches. Though they also serve plenty of smaller appetizers to munch on while drinking coffee, tea, or something more potent.

The restaurant’s mismatched vintage furniture perfectly accents its other quirky collectibles–everything from vinyl records to classic Hollywood movie posters. And the Fine Arts Museum is right nearby, so visitors can easily grab lunch or dinner after browsing hundreds of paintings.
